KFU Sponsorship Program

Kids First Uganda has a robust child education sponsorship program. Over 90 children are being supported by sponsors who are paying school fees, tuition, and in some cases boarding school. After high school, some sponsors continue to provide financial support for college or vocational training programs. We encourage our sponsors and children to develop a personal relationship by corresponding in writing over the course of the year. Sponsors generously gift these children’s families with Christmas gift baskets of food or often much-needed shoes or other essentials.

Joshua, Executive Director of KFU in Kampala is on the ground to ensure each student’s success. He visits the children’s families, schools, and communities to guarantee the whole child is being nurtured. Every two years our team from the U.S. also visits the children’s homes to strengthen relationships with these kids.

Sponsoring a child benefits the whole family as it relieves the pressure on parents having to budget school fees from the already meager incomes they earn. Children also receive meals at school which adds food security and nutrition. Sponsorship fees vary from $350.00 a year including uniforms and supplies to $695.00 per year for children who need boarding.
