Driscoll Media Center

Driscoll ICT & Business Skilling Center

“Skilling Nations”

Computers and the internet are a huge key to global development.  Recognizing that the Kids First community was lagging in access to technology, the Driscoll Media Center and ICT Business Skilling Center was created.  This facility is being used to train our women and children and provide free access to computers for general use.  The media center contains the textbooks children use in school, reference books, fiction and nonfiction novels, training courses, computer programming books and story books for little kids.

To date we are equipped with 11 laptops and 1 desktop, an Epson printer, and 4G fiber cable internet.  The space can accommodate a class of 11 students comfortably. The facility is secured by a CCTV camera and alarm system and cooling fans to operate during harsh, hot weather.  We have partnered with neighboring universities to use our facility which is earning revenue to sustain the program.
